Our Thermosyphon Heater fuses a robust design with a state-of-the-art control systems with nature’s most powerful heat transfer technology, vaporization and condensation.  A litre of water in the thermosyphon heater transfers up to 25 times more energy than a water bath. This advantage delivers operating flexibility, precision control and the highest achievable efficiency with a compact plant footprint.

How it works

Our Thermosyphon heater design is simple yet effective, combining a fire-tube steam boiler with a condensing heat exchanger in a closed-loop. Since we operate under mild vacuum, steam is produced at 40˚C to 80˚C.

When heat is needed, a burner is fired. New energy added to the system produces steam which generates a response within seconds. When process heat demand is no longer needed, the burner is switched off, stopping steam production.

The design is a microcosm of what ProHeat is all about: delivering performance without making equipment unnecessarily complex.

Our ACE water bath heater

For indirect heating applications up to 180kW, our ACE water bath heater covers all bases; prolonged asset life, increased durability & efficiency, and reduced plant footprint.

Our heater is fitted with an industry-leading burner offering efficiency at 96% (LHV), combined with a stainless steel fire tube and a multi-path manifolded heat exchanger. This combination ensures a compact, highly responsive design which will offer substantial fuel savings.

ProHeat’s ACE heaters are manufactured to the highest quality standards and they are designed to meet ASME Section VIII Division I, the European Machinery Directive and Pressure Equipment Directive.

The ACE water bath is an ideal, low operating cost process heater for the following applications:
